-----STEP 1-----

Take Ownership And Full Control Of File: pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
C:Windows\System32\Licensingpkeyconfig\pkeyconfig.xrm-ms

Right-click pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
select Properties
Go to the Security tab and click the 'Advanced' button
Go to the 'Owner' tab and click the 'Edit' button
Select 'Administrators' and click 'Apply' button
You have now taken 'Ownership' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows

Right-click pkeyconfig.xrm-ms again
select Properties
Go to the Security tab again, click the Advanced button
Now Press Edit, then double-click 'Administrators' in the list and tick the 'allow'
box for 'Full control'
You have now taken 'Full control' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows again

Now you can Replace the file:
c:Windows\System32\Licensingpkeyconfig\pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
With RC2 One

-----STEP 2-----

Stop The Service 'Software Licensing'
Click Start And Type In The Search Bar 'services.msc' (without quotes) And Press Enter
Find 'Software Licensing' in list view
Right-click on 'Software Licensing' and click the stop

-----STEP 3-----

Take Ownership And Full Control Of File: tokens.dat
C:/Windows/ServiceProfiles/NetworkService/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/SoftwareLicensing/tokens.dat

Right-click tokens.dat
select Properties
Go to the Security tab and click the 'Advanced' button
Go to the 'Owner' tab and click the 'Edit' button
Select 'Administrators' and click 'Apply' button
You have now taken 'Ownership' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows

Right-click tokens.dat again
select Properties
Go to the Security tab again, click the Advanced button
Now double-click 'Administrators' in the list and tick the 'allow' box for 'Full control'
You have now taken 'Full control' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows again

Now you can Replace The File:
C:/Windows/ServiceProfiles/NetworkService/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/SoftwareLicensing/tokens.dat
With RC2 One

-----STEP 4-----

REBOOT Computer
Click Start And Type In The Search Bar “slui.exe” (without quotes) And Press Enter
This will Take You Straight To The Activation Window Where You Can TYPE Your RC1 Or RC2 Key To Activate It!
(You don't even need to do the date trick,
your copy will be genuine forever, because it doesn't have
the beta files that tell it to expire.

How to get rid of the “evaluation copy” watermark in Windows Vista RTM
The patched file is for the English version of Vista RTM only! If you have a different language of Vista,
you'll have to patch it yourself. Instructions included for that as well

4. To get rid of the “evaluation copy” watermark in Windows Vista RTM in the bottom right corner of your Windows Vista RTM.
Some may not see it yet, but believe me it will show up after a few reboots.

There are 2 ways to get rid of the watermark:
1. Replace your original user32.dll.mui file with patched version of the file
2. Edit your own user32.dll.mui file using a resource hacker for other languages

Option 1:

Go to your 'C:\Windows\System32\xy-XY' directory and locate user32.dll.mui
(Where C:\ is the drive you installed Vista on, and 'xy-XY' is the folder corresponding to your language: en-US for English,
fr-FR for French, de-DE for german, etc)

[{user32.dll.mui here you need this file for patching evaluation copy watermark}]

NOW YOU HAVE THE PATCHED FILE JUST REPLACE THEM AS INSTRUCTED BELOW STEP BY STEP

Now you can Replace The File:

C:\Windows\System32\en-US

With Patched One

Now, rename user32.dll.mui to 'user32.dll.mui.bak'. This way you have a backup,
just in case. If you don't want a backup, delete it.

Now you can Replace or Copy the file: user32.dll.mui with the patched file
provided in the crack 'user32.dll.mui'

REBOOT Computer

No more annoying watermark on your desktop,
you're done everything will be good working ENJOY
